No submission fees
Manuscript submission and initial evaluation are completely free. The charge applies only on formal acceptance after peer review.
The Journal of Convex Analysis is an open-access journal published through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Submitting a manuscript costs nothing. An article processing charge applies only once a manuscript has been accepted through peer review, and it funds the editorial standards, typesetting, registration and archiving that keep the published article available and citable.
Four things, each of which costs the publisher something and each of which the author would otherwise have to arrange alone.
Manuscript submission and initial evaluation are completely free. The charge applies only on formal acceptance after peer review.
Full workflow support through the OJS portal, including double-blind peer review managed by specialists in convex analysis and applied mathematics.
Professional LaTeX editing, typographical layout, and the setting of mathematical formulas and figures.
A registered Crossref DOI, perpetual digital archiving, and immediate worldwide open access under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence.
With the acceptance letter, the editorial office sends a PDF invoice for payment. It accepts wire transfer, cards, Alipay, WeChat Pay and other online payment options, and issues a receipt by email as soon as the payment clears. The invoice is payable within 10 working days.
If an extension of the payment deadline is required, please submit a formal request by email to submissions@banachpress.com for review and approval.
Please check the manuscript number, the author details and the amount on the invoice before paying. Production of the article, its typesetting, proofreading and online publication, begins as soon as the payment is received, and the editorial and production costs are incurred at that point. By paying the invoice the payer requests that production begin immediately and accepts that the charge is not refundable once paid, including where the authors later withdraw, retract or ask to correct the article.
Two exceptions apply. A payment made twice for the same manuscript is refunded in full on request. If the journal does not publish the article for reasons attributable to the journal, the charge is refunded in full. Refunds go back to the payment method used for the charge. Statutory rights of a payer contracting as a consumer are not affected.
Bank charges are borne by the payer, and the journal must receive the full invoiced amount.
The charge is waived for authors whom the editors invite to submit, and for internationally recognised researchers whose work the journal particularly wishes to publish. Every other accepted article carries the same fixed charge.
An author who believes their case falls within this policy should say so at the point of initial submission, in the Comments for the Editor field in the final step of the submission, so that it is settled before any editorial decision is taken. Waiver decisions are made separately from the peer-review process and have no bearing on it.
For anything to do with submission, payment arrangements or a waiver request, write to the editorial team at Banach Press.
