Abstract
We provide a numerical procedure to compute uniform convex approximations of the convex envelope of a rational fraction defined on a compact basic semi-algebraic set . At each point of the convex hull , computing reduces to solving a semidefinite program. We next characterize in terms of the projection of a semi-infinite LMI, and provide outer convex approximations . Testing whether reduces to solving finitely many semidefinite programs
