Abstract

Extending the well-known characteristic property of solid ellipsoids as convex bodies with hyperplanar shadow-boundaries, we describe all n-dimensional closed convex sets in Rn\mathbb{R}^n whose shadow-boundaries satisfy certain conditions of hyperplanarity.
